I recommend the book to everyone interested in deepening their understanding of how humans affect one another. Although this is a silly example, it has lots of teachable points to help little ones understand the election process. After Germany lost the war, the Russians took over the eastern part of Poland, and the Poles then annexed Prussia, to the west of them, So all the German citizens who were living in Prussia were at the mercy of first the invading Russian army and then of the Poles. Every inch of the book is illustrated or decorated in some fashion. Ivanhoe, one should know, is barely about the character Ivanhoe.
