After reading the blurb, I was a little confused about who the hero of the story was, and that didn't change for most of the story. This guy is a great writer. If something as subtle as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world, what might follow from devastation like that of 9/11. I'm not a rambler on reviews so I'll keep it short like the story itself. it's just a meandering story, peopled with interesting characters, interesting locale, interesting thoughts. While not easy, the stakes are high in prison, and that is true for the prisons, the prisoners, the prison staff’s families, the prisoner’s families, the taxpayer and their families, the government agencies, the states and municipalities, the national government and our society as a whole. I'm very much looking forward to getting into the next installment. All his hard work down the drain because of some VERY bad people.
