Had us guessing til the very end. The art isn't the greatest I've ever seen, but props for the creative use of color to convey effect. Another great story. This very short little story is very sweet and a nice introduction to this world. While hucksters were selling false promises of diamonds lying on the ground and bread and butter hanging from trees, white planters were determined to keep black people from leaving because they were valuable as laborers and share croppers. While tagging along with Christopher Columbus as he seeks a financier to fund his search for a new trade route to Asia, David suddenly finds himself face-to-face with a massive, angry-looking wild boar. They are meticulously organized so the book can be of use to visitors as they walk around the memorial; as a name is viewed, the story behind that name can be read.
